If you have an interest in looking after your staff wellbeing, you may wish to provide them with a mini health screen, which can be provided on site with little disruption to the working day. Healthwise are able to provide you with a purpose built Assessment unit at your place of work, or over multi sites throughout the UK. Conducted via a fleet of 30 purpose-built Mobile Clinics (supplemented by an infrastructure of approved medical centres where required), all medicals are conducted according to preset clinical standards with all results overviewed by a Consultant Occupational Physician.
Primarily guided in content by results of workplace Risk Assessment, legal obligations (Health and Safety) and good practice, an occupational health surveillance programme will develop a firm medico-legal baseline. This is particularly helpful in the event of future claims made against the company for alleged work related health problems, e.g. Noise induced hearing loss, Hand/Arm Vibration syndrome (HAVS) (previously known as vibration white finger).
In addition, the programme can go beyond the above requirements and review general health and lifestyle factors of employees.
All these aspects can, through the early detection of disease, advice and health education, improve workforce health, providing long-term benefit to the company in terms of the management of sickness absence and civil litigation.
This extends to the provision of Drug and Alcohol tests, Network Rail certification for Personal Track Safety (PTS), etc. Varying medical contents can be offered as part of a screening programme to meet the company’s various work place risks.
Medical Protocol Physical health assessment conducted on-site in a purpose built mobile assessment unit incorporating a sound proof booth for audiometry.
Duration of each Assessment: Approximately 45 minutes per person. A minimum charge applies*
Reports: (included in the fee)
Logistics
In order to minimise disruption to production, only one employee will be assessed at a time. All assessments will be performed by an experienced Nurse in a self contained, purpose built mobile clinic which requires only the provision of one car parking space and normal 3-pin 13 amp power supply.
Content dictates the duration of each medical (usually 45-60 minutes). This equates to an average of 35 employees being assessed every week, per mobile clinic. If required by prior arrangement, multiple units can undertake services at the same site.
Results
All results and medical records will be stored centrally by us where they will all be entered onto a bespoke computer system and reported on by an Occupational Physician.
A personalised report will be sent to each person who participated in the programme. A global analysis is then produced for the company, which will highlight trends and results in graphical and text format. The report will provide any recommendations to assist with the refinement of future health strategy within the company.
The results of future health programmes can then be analysed in a similar format and a comparison made with previous results.
